This is how I am now describing my little peaches. They are growing so fast and changing so fast. They each officially have their own personalities and they are so different. They will be 10 months old next week and I really don't know where the time has gone. The sleepness nights are a thing of the past. Holding their bottles for them is over and the whole cuddling concept seems only to be possible when they are sleeping. They are eating baby food along with table food and they are rather "pigish". They will sit and eat for as long as I keep putting more food in front of them.
Crazy Colin- Colin is my wild child. He is constantly looking for something to get into. He crawls very fast and gets caught in between chairs and under tables. He is tough and when he cries you know he hurts. His smile is what lights up my day. If he catches your eye he will light up with a smile from ear to ear. His eyelashes are so long that it makes the smile that much more special. Colin weighed in at 20lb for his 9mo checkup and is 2 inches longer than Finn (98th percentile for length)
Docile Declan-Declan is my little guy who doesn't really ask for much. He is my smallest, weighing in at 18lb and he is all about finding a crumb on the floor and using his amazing "pincher skills" to pick it up and insert into mouth. Declan sleeps the longest of all of the 3 and he is so interested in climbing. Declan can pull himself up to things but he just hasn't figured out how to get down off things. Declan is the only one that likes a pacifier and that is why I never hear from him in his crib because he always plays while sucking on his little pacifier. (why cant the other ones like pacifiers...all of my other kids loved them)
Funny Finn-He has a way about himself. Finn weighs in at 20lbs as well but is short so he feels more like a bundle. He keeps a very serious face when he is exploring but as soon as he catches your eye the biggest grin comes over his face and he shows those cute double teeth. Finn is all about getting out of the room that he should be in. He has figured out how to pull open the door and escape when I am not looking. He loved to explore uncharted territory. Finn has been the first one to wake in the morning and usually the first one to wake from a nap. His red hair in coming in more and more and I am very excited to have red head.
All and all things are well. My days are busy but not overwhelming. The most stressful part of my day is 4:10 when the boys get off the bus, the babies are waking at that time and Mairin is getting a second wind. The babies are hungry, the older 3 are hungry and want to eat. Backpacks are ready to be gone thru and chaos has begun. Heidi has truly been a huge help at this time. She rolls in at 4 or 4:15 and helps with everything that happens until at least 7pm.
Second grade definately keeps me busy. The boys have spelling everynight, they need to read at least 20min, they always have a booklet of math facts that they need to work on and they have their daily homelink worksheets. The system is what I am working on. Eamon and Liam have different spelling words so I need to that individually, they are doing the same worksheets but I don't want one to copy the other so I keep them at different ends of the table. The babies are talking in the background. It is definately a crazy part of the day.
